Salesforce NYC: It’s Not Goodbye, It’s “See You at Dreamforce!”

Salesforce Tour New York

Last week, Salesforce brought the best of Dreamforce to New York as part of its World Tour and Mediafly joined as a Gold Sponsor. While we’re bummed that it’s over, we’re also more excited than ever for Dreamforce, which is just 4 months away. Here are a few highlights for those that missed it that should get you pumped for what’s in store at Dreamforce 2016.

“It’s All About the Age of the Customer”

Salesforce CMO Simon Mulcahy kicked off the event with his opening keynote, and this quote set the stage. Over and over, he and the other speakers reinforced the idea that it’s not the infrastructure or the product, but that it’s about innovation and companies joining a movement to better meet the needs of the customer.

This was a big year for Salesforce—it marks the company’s 17th birthday, it’s now the 10th largest software company in the world (ironically enough, with it’s “No Software” mascot), and it’s now firmly in the ranks of the Fortune 500.

But as its marketing, sales, and service clouds grow with features and offerings, Salesforce isn’t losing focus of that customer experience. While we’re ready for the festivities and bands at Dreamfest, we also can’t wait for the next wave of innovations to help companies adapt that’ll be announced at Dreamforce.

And It’s All About Salesforce Customers

Like Mediafly, Salesforce’s subscription model ties customer success to its own success, so that SaaS companies like ours can only grow if our customers grow. Breakout sessions throughout the day honed in on things like data management, using cloud services for sales transformation, and a…silent disco?

The flash and excitement of Salesforce events is a thing to look forward to in itself, but things like Trailhead and Salesforce’s eagerness to share customer stories (like GM OnStar) inspire Salesforce customers (including Mediafly) to do more. Even small teams like (RED) got time in the spotlight at World Tour, reflecting Salesforce’s commitment to the 1-1-1 program. Behind all the pizzazz behind events like World Tour and Dreamforce is a serious philanthropic spirit. Last year, Dreamforce led to 1 million donated books. What will 2016 bring?

Mediafly in the Big Apple

With our integration to Salesforce, we’re extending the power of the Customer Success Platform to our in-person sales platform by putting the focus on the customer’s experience through every step of the buying process. Along with our sponsorship, our team was there to share how a better customer experience can enhance sales and marketing alignment while meeting the needs of every unique prospect.

Along the way, we gave out a couple Amazon Echos—and previewed even deeper integrations with Salesforce to save time for users and admins, and increase adoption. Thanks to everyone who stopped by, and we look forward to seeing you at Dreamforce in October!
